AOPA
Description:
• Maximum loan amount $20,000.00
• Rates start at 12.99% and go up to 14.99% APR
• Be an AOPA member (annual membership $89).
• One- business day for a decision, if approved, 2-3 business days for funding (once
documentation has been received)
SCHOLARSHIP
AOPA offers approximately 100 scholarships per year, 80 scholarships for high school
students and 20 for other applicants.
• Application Period: September 9, 2024, and closes February 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

• Award Amounts: Scholarships range from $2,500 to $14,000 and support primary
flight training, advanced ratings/certificates, aviation maintenance, and more.
• Eligibility: Open to AOPA members who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent legal
residents. High school students do NOT need a membership as they get a
membership once they get the scholarship.

• Unsecured loan amount ranges $5,000-$30,000
• Interest rates are typically around 9.99%-11.99%
• 72-month term
• $299 processing fee
• Line of credit loan – only make payments and interest based on the amount you use,
not the amount you are approved for
• Monthly payments start 30 days after the first withdrawal. No deferments available
Expect monthly payments to be roughly 2% of the amount withdrawn in total
• Applications can be submitted online
• Loan decision generally within 1 business day. If approved, we can usually fund loan
within 2-3 business days
